How can I pay for my purchase?
I only accept cash…and please be prepared to make unexpected purchases. The selection and value is so great that many customers (especially teachers!) have needed to leave and visit a bank machine to complete their purchase. (Honest!)
Can you send me a list of the books that you have?
At this time I am not able to provide details on specific titles–I literally have thousands of books and my selection changes on a daily basis.
Do you have other books than what you advertise on your website & Facebook Page?
Absolutely! It is impossible to show everything, I only pick a few popular titles from each section to actually photograph (and remember books are always coming and going too).
How can I receive invitations to TheBookLady.ca’s sales?

How can I keep up on new arrivals?
I try to post photographs and prices daily of interesting selections and new arrivals on my Facebook Page. Even if you are not a registered Facebook user, you can view my Page anytime. Just add a link to my page under your “Favourites” for easy access. When there scroll down the “Wall” to see recent entries.
What if I am looking for a specific title/series?
If you provide me with a list of specific titles/series that you want, I can let you know if I currently have it/them in stock. For example, if you want to know if I have #s 3,6,10,18 & 23 in The Magic Treehouse series, I can let you know yes or no. Or if you want to know what “Arthur” books I have, I would generally respond with something like: I have approx. 25 different titles in story books, 12 Jr. Chapter Books and a handful of assorted leveled readers.
Will you hold books that I would like to purchase?
Usually if you are booking an appointment to shop, I am more than happy to hold the occasional book for you but please be aware that I am not able to offer “pick-ups” at my door (unless you are responding to a specific Kijiji or Craigslist ad), so please make sure that you budget your time accordingly. Thanking you in advance for your understanding.
How Does your Buy 10 Get 2 FREE work?
All individual books (excludes pre-bundled selections) are Buy 10 at the same price and receive 2 FREE (at the same price). You can mix & match categories, French & English etc.
Do you offer further discounts?
In order for me to continue to provide the amazing quality, selection and value that I have become known for, I am not able to offer further discounts.
Do you ship?
Due to the expense and the amount of extra time required, I do not ship at this time.
