I think this is the BIGGEST one-time buy that TheBookLady.ca has ever made…over one thousand FRENCH books from a retiring Grade 2-4 French Immersion teacher who lives four hours north of the GTA and wanted to find a one-stop-buyer!  🙂
Incredible FRENCH book buy
I was overwhelmed as I went through box after box, organized by authors, read-a-loud topics, interest subjects, curriculum topics and reading levels.
For example, there was a great selection of pirate-themed books because at the beginning of the school year, this teacher liked to do a fun pirate theme to engage her students which then led into a mapping unit, complete with treasure hunts.
Although I couldn’t necessarily read the titles (my French is limited), I sure could tell when I ran across a fabulous selection of books to support the Traditions and Celebrations Around the World unit and those books can be a challenge to find in English, let alone French!
I’ll be honest…I had to go through these books so fast, with my heart-a-pumping excitedly that I can’t give you many details now, and it is going to take me days and days to sort and price these, but I wanted to get the word out now that if you have a primary French Immersion class to stock, book your shopping appointment with TheBookLady.ca now!  Although I am accepting appointments this coming Sunday, July 2nd, these books will NOT be available then, as I will not have time to go through, price and sort yet.

Most should be available by my Tuesday, July 4th time slot of 10 am – 1 pm (please remember to confirm your shopping appointment in advance).

Other notable finds:
  • TONS of Robert Munsch, Eric Carle, Barbara Reid, Doreen Cronin, Pheobe GilmanAudrey Penn, Nik Bland and more!
  • TONS of leveled/early reading including GB+, fiction, non-fiction (Magic School Bus etc.), popular characters etc.
  • TONS of popular story books (Caillou, Franklin, Little Critter, Clifford, Brady Brady etc.)
  • LOTS of high interest books like Fancy Nancy, Scaredy Squirrel, Scooby Doo, Geronimo Stilton, Mercy Watson etc.
  • LOTS of geography, history, books on Canada, Traditions and Celebrations Around the World, character-building and more
  • TONS of Science & Nature
  • LOTS of visual dictionaries and vocabulary builders
  • even SOME teacher resource books!
Don’t forget, the photo just shows the new arrivals, my current FRENCH section is overflowing at the moment too…there has NEVER been a better time to shop for French books at TheBookLady.ca!

A bientôt, j’espère!

Do you still have the gb+ readers available? If so I am interested.

    1. Hi Melanie,
I have GB+ readers come and go all the time as well as lots of other early readers, but I don’t think I have more than a couple of GB+ at the moment. I am set-up for you to come and browse, there are always amazing French finds to be had. I sell by appointment and am located in Pickering. If you scroll through my Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/TheBookLady.ca/ you will be able to see samples of some of the French books that I sell (prices can be viewed in the upper left hand corner of each book.

Ok. I didn’t realize you were in Pickering. I am in Sudbury.

    2. No worries, I do have shoppers come from a long ways away. If you scroll through the reviews on my Facebook Page, I had a shopper come a couple of months ago from Rochester, NY just to shop my French selection and apparently left very happy! 🙂
